Your toddler is at a vital stage of their life, it’s a time for learning and development, so it’s essential you provide your toddler with as many opportunities to fulfil their potential as possible. In my opinion, some items are crucial for them toddler years, so here’s my top 5 toddler items:
1. Play Table
A good quality play table is essential for your child’s development, it allows your child to begin learning very basic shapes and colors while at the same time, having lots of fun and learning to communicate with you and others, it’s a fantastic part of any toddler’s social development. I would say the best play table has a lot of different colors, numbers, shapes and possibly the alphabet too, the more opportunity for your toddler to learn while playing the better.
2. A Carrier
In my opinion a good carrier is essential, especially if you’ve got more than one kid, as it’s always helpful to have your hands free particularly if you’re out and about walking or shopping with your family and tribe of children. The sling style carriers are my preferred choice as they’re very lightweight, flexible and safe, you can pick up them at very reasonable prices too. http://www.parenting.com/gallery/9-best-baby-carriers
3. An infant pillow
An infant pillow is a must in my opinion, and in fact in many experts opinion too. Why? Do you ask, well your child’s sleep is vital for healthy growth and development, and using an adult pillow for your toddler really isn’t acceptable as it’s not designed to support their tiny head and necks, potentially leading to problems further down the line. My personal favourite is the dream town toddler pillow. You can find more great toddler pillows at PillowFocus.
4. Craft Table
A craft table is another fun way to help your toddler grow and develop. The best thing is that you can pick up craft tables really cheap from places like Walmart and Amazon and they’ll last for years too. A good quality craft table will usually be very sturdy, easy to clean and offer you the ability to place large sheets of drawing paper to minimize mess.
5. Waterproof Mattress Pads
We all know that as your child becomes a toddler it’s time to start potty training, but during that time, which can potentially last years, it’s useful to have a backup plan, and mattress pads should be an important part of that plan. They will save you money on bed sheets, washing and keep having to buy new mattresses, you simply wipe them clean and then go over with some disinfectant.
